Correct positioning of the Tigertriever’s mesh, in relation to the vessel’s clot has a big impact on a successful first pass attempt. 100% visibility of the mesh enables the physician to determine clot’s location, and by controlling the mesh size, it is possible to re-position mesh accordingly, if needed. Optimal positioning of the mesh would be: to position the proximal marker proximal to the starting point of the occlusion, in a way that the mesh is as distal as possible.
